Financial Analyst II Job in Montpelier 05601, Vermont US
SUMMARY: The Financial Analyst II Reports to the Manager of Financial Reporting. Major responsibilities include monthly financial analysis, financial modeling, variance analysis, account activity analysis, forecasting and ad hoc analysis as needed. This position is located in Waterbury, Vermont.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will not have any direct reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide general analysis support for monthly, quarterly and annual closings focused primarily on performance compared to budget, forecast and prior year.
- Help in the development of a stronger internal reporting framework
- Financial Support for the Sales departments
- Account responsibility for monthly forecast and annual budgeting process
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis as required
OTHER NECESSARY FUNCTIONS:
Follows all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by GMCR and the department.
Performs other duties as requested by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Budgeting and analysis experience of a minimum of 3 – 5 years.
- Minimum B.S. degree with major in finance or accounting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong financial analytical skills
- Self-motivated team player with strong ability to interact with others
- Ability to work flexible hours as required
- SEC accounting experience a plus
- Good organizational skills and able to handle a high work volume
- Ability to uphold Safety standards, participate in Continuous Process Improvement on the job, and follow our Manufacturing best practices.
- Ability to get along with others, be punctual, and follow instructions.
- Ability to follow GMCR policies and procedures as well as our Operating principles.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Predominately sedentary light office position with high frequency of keyboarding/computer work required (67% - 100% of the workday).
