Job Duties and Responsibilities
- The Financial Analyst performs financial analysis for all functional areas of the company.
- Promotes timely and accurate incentive payments to DISH external partners twice weekly and once a month.
- Identifies payment anomalies, performs payment analysis and communicates these findings to management.
- Updates SOX compliance documentation on a daily basis.
- Utilizes spreadsheet software and other modeling tools to generate financial reports and trend analysis.
- Performs financial and strategic analysis to improve performance for all areas of the company.
- Interprets financial data and communicates conclusions and recommendations to various levels of management.
- Develops financial reports to highlight areas of concern and/or opportunity.
- Assists in the creation of business plans to retail business and other business ventures.
- Creates templates based on financial models for use by others in the organization.
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree (B.A.) in Accounting, Finance, or related field; and two years of related experience and training.
Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
