General Overview:
Financial Analyst is responsible for providing support for the annual expense budget planning and forecasting, long-range financial plans including PL, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow, and general financial analysis including payback, NPV, ROI and competitive analysis.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide support to Manager FPA on the annual budgeting process including timetable, user instructions, summary reporting, etc.
- Maintain data integrity of expense budgets in Clarity and reconciliation to accounting systems
- Work with Corporate partners on the monthly forecast process, including obtaining reliable data and validating forecast data
- Analyze expense variances compared to budget and forecast. Identify favorable and unfavorable trends. Identify spending control issues to management including summary analysis for executive review
- Prepare board presentation and other management presentations materials
- Assist in the update and development of long range plans
- Complete ad-hoc general financial and analysis, including payback, NPV, ROI, and competitive analysis
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related
- Minimum of 3 years professional experience with at least 1 year of financial analyst experience
- Retail experience preferred, but not required
- Strong attention to accuracy
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of management and across all departments
- Self starter and motivator, ability to remain focused and on task with minimal direction
- Strong organizational skills
- Committed to continuous learning
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks/projects
- Proficient in Microsoft office products, especially Excel and Access
