Financial Analyst – 6+ month assignment
Our large scale client located in the lower mainland, is looking for a motivated Financial Analyst to join their team immediately for a six month plus assignment. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Accounting the financial analyst will perform a variety of technical accounting and analysis duties in preparation, maintenance and processing of accounting records and financial transactions.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
· Perform monthly closing activities: PL cost, functional cost, balance sheet analysis, account reconciliation, cash flow forecasts.
· Assisting with operational budgets and forecasts
· Analyzing, interpreting and communicating cost/expense variances to management
· Tracking business unit financial results and preparing variance analysis
· Gathering information for and generating ongoing financial reports
· Assist with financial modeling to support forecasts
Requirements include:
· Accounting Designation (CGA, CA, CMA)
· 3+ years of solid financial analysis skills
· Experience working with large ERP (SAP, Peoplesoft, Oracle, JDE) preferred.
· Advanced level Excel a must.
· Works well in team environment
· Extensive experience with budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis.
· Good accounting technical skills
