Zions Bancorporation has an excellent opportunity available for a Financial Analyst in our Corporate Finance department.
This position performs financial analyses and builds financial models to assist management in the decision making process. Typically completes cost analysis, profitability, pricing, valuation, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, trending, reconciliation and/or other related analysis tools and procedures. Prepares short and long term financial planning, reports of key performance indicators, ad hoc analysis reports, economic valuations and cost/benefit information. Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- MBA or equivalent graduate degree, or Bachelor degree in a quantitative field with finance industry experience
- Previous experience in banking, preferably in an analytical role
- Experience with investments or risk analytics
- Progress towards CFA designation a plus
This position requires:
- Bachelors degree in finance, statistics, or other quantitative field and 2+ years experience in financial analysis or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
- Requires extensive knowledge of financial analysis practices, principles, applications and analysis methods.
- Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to develop financial models.
- Requires solid written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prepare oral and written reports.
- Must be able to work in a deadline oriented environment.
- Must have the ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- Requires the ability to identify, research, coordinate and resolve issues.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
- Requires excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access. Knowledge of financial/statistical programs a plus.
