Financial Analyst Manager
Icicle Seafoods, Inc. is one of the largest seafood processing and marketing companies in the Northwest. The Financial Analyst Manager - Operations will drive the business planning process for established internal operations. Responsibilities include reporting on financial and operational trends; budgets and forecasts; monthly financial management reports and ad hoc analysis. The two initial key areas of focus will be 1) American Gold Seafoods (“AGS”) analysis and financial reporting; and 2) the development of the management information system, leveraging the current system tools and capabilities. The Financial Analyst Manager – Operations requires a high level of technical accuracy and timely project completion to be able to meet hard deadlines. This position is exempt from overtime and reports to the CFO.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
· Performs quantitative and qualitative analysis on variances, trends, risks, opportunities and key business drivers from both an operational and financial perspective for AGS.
· Prepares monthly financial statements and management reports for AGS.
· Develops standardized management reports, including key metrics reports, within the management information system to be used by all departments and business units for analysis and decision making.
· Prepares and coordinates the annual business plan development and budgeting process as well as scheduled and off-cycle forecast updates.
· In coordination with operational managers, develops key performance indicators (“KPI’s”) and recommendations for KPI measurement and reporting for individual business units and locations.
· Monitors KPI’s, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances. Makes recommendations for operational changes to achieve targeted results and increased profitability.
· Develops financial models and analysis to support initiatives. Delivers all management information in a way that is transparent and easily accessible across the organization.
· Develops and executes processes to allow for routine analytical review of the company's financial and operational performance, leveraging business units’ analytical resources and tools. Partners with accounting, marketing, sales and operations to quantify the financial impact of their business plans and initiatives.
· Conducts ad hoc analysis to analyze complex operational and financial actions and prepares conclusions and analyses with reports.
· Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· At least 5 years of experience as a financial analyst at a medium or large ($200MM to $500MM+) organization with multiple production / manufacturing locations. This must include the development of technically precise, analytical reports delivered to C-level executives.
· BA/BS in Business, Accounting or related field.
· Significant hands-on budgeting and forecasting experience.
· Experience in development of management information systems.
· High-level MS Office abilities.
· Preference will be given to candidates with seafood industry knowledge, private equity ownership experience, and / or experience in the agricultural industry.
