Financial Analyst – Belfast – Maternity Cover – £32,000 – New Job
Hays is pleased to be working with a market-leading utilities organisation to recruit a commercially astute financial analyst to help cover maternity leave within the business. The job will be based in Belfast and is expected to last up to 12 months. The successful candidate should be able to start their new job immediately or at short-notice. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading business and gain valuable commercial experience within a large industry environment.
The primary focus of this role will be in supporting the financial and commercial management of the asset management division of the business. To this end, the incumbent will be tasked with the following duties:
§ Operation of financial reporting system with particular focus on meaningful KPIs.
§ Effective alignment of financial and reporting processes with regulatory requirements
§ Maintenance of effective capital investment processes
§ Development and operation of financial policies including capitalisation
§ Maintenance of effective risk management procedures
§ Preparation of business plans and budgets
Criteria:
§ Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with minimum 2 years PQE
§ Experience in successfully fulfilling the above duties in a commercial environment
§ Strong financial reporting, compliance and regulatory experience
§ Strong IT skills; MS Excel (Essential) SAP (Preferred)
