The role: Financial Analyst, NPS Americas Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. Our team of Financial Analysts foster the financial health of our organization by partnering closely with our various functions, tracking performance metrics and creating financial models. Our Financial Analysts are up to date with the latest economic trends and apply knowledge around rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements and investment performance to the projects at hand. As a Financial Analyst, you are called upon to build complex scenarios analyses that serve as the basis for recommendations that leaders of the business draw from to make critical strategic decisions. A master juggler working on multiple projects at a time, you maintain a consistently high level of attention to detail while finding creative ways to tackle financial challenges. This role offers you the opportunity to partner with the New Products and Solutions (NPS) Americas team across a wide variety of Google products like GDN, YouTube, Mobile, etc. You will work side by side with these Sales teams and enable decision making through appropriate analysis, modeling and risk management. In addition, you will support core sales finance processes in support of the sales organization such as estimating recommending revenue quotas/goals, annual plan and advising on deals geared at customer incentives. Also, you will have the opportunity to bring innovation and creativity to solve new challenges such as how we think about solution selling and cross product optimization. In addition to being an integral member of the sales finance team, you will also act as a key advisor to sales management on issues related to market investment strategies, business profitability, and resource allocation. Responsibilities: * Partner with the Director NPS Sales Finance to drive the planning function for NPS Sales Finance. * Responsible for providing quarterly accurate, timely and actionable reporting around Opex and HC for the NPS SF teams. * Own the design and creation of Exec Level financial reporting to be used by VP NPS Sales across multiple NPS and Sales. * Interact with other SF teams and Business Intelligence to assure data consistency and integrity. * Provide ad-hoc analysis around sales productivity/HC, resource allocation and Opex/HC forecasting. Minimum Qualifications: * BA/BS degree with evidence of quantitative coursework such as engineering, computer science, mathematics, economics, or finance. (In lieu of degree, 6 years of relevant experience) Preferred Qualifications: * 4 years analytical experience * Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment, leadership skills, and ability to communicate with a senior management team * Ability to self-start and self-direct work in an unstructured environment; comfortable dealing with ambiguity * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Broad knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of SQL is a good to have.
