Financial Analyst opportunity within Finance IT at UBS recruitment
End User Services manages the majority of IT products and services across the UBS group – everything from desktops and phones, to video conferencing and citrix connections. There is also a group wide global Desktop Transformation Programme underway for which you will provide financial analysis and support.
Forecasting and monthly PL analysis form the basis of your role, however the position is much more commercial than just providing regular numbers. There are frequent adhoc requests which require detailed examination and in an ever changing and cost conscious environment, the End User Services Controller role is critical to providing this information. There will be interaction with Procurement and Vendor Management to provide analysis on current providers and services.
If you are a management accountant with proven experience of controlling costs and have been recently working for a business comparable in scale and complexity to UBS, you could enjoy the “tangible” nature of this position. Rather than providing analysis for a suite of services or products that you may not have the technical expertise to understand, you will be able to add value more easily in a commercial sense as the services offered in this function are very visible and familiar.
It is not essential that you have worked within an Investment Bank, but your previous employer should have been a global organisation, where you had multiple reporting lines and the scale of the services you supported was comparable to the End User Services function at UBS (i.e. supporting c80000 users). Telecommunications is a good example of this.
