Financial Analyst- Private Funds recruitment

Position Description:
Mission:
PIMCO is seeking a Financial Analyst to work closely with the Senior Financial Officer and Assistant Financial Officer across our private fund platform comprising over $10B of capital commitments across a variety of funds (including BRAVO, DMF, DMFII, DiSCO, DiSCOII and DCF) focused mainly on distressed mortgage and credit related assets. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with private equity vehicle, valuation, operations, financial modeling and mortgage and credit related debt experience. This position is located in Newport Beach.

Major responsibilities:
• Fund financial modeling including cashflows and returns
• Production of weekly Fund management reports on investment activity, fund liquidity, expenses and returns
• Production of quarterly Fund investor reports
• Supervision of timely and accurate data receipt and reporting regarding investments
• Assist with responses to investor questions and requests
• Assist with liquidity and cash management oversight including daily monitoring of cash activity
• Assist with new product development and launches including research and modeling
• Documentation of investment performance drivers
• Support of quarterly and year-end valuation process
• Production of monthly Fund revenue forecasts
• Other ad hoc assignments as required

Position Requirements:
The Successful Candidate Will:
• Have experience from the investment management, hedge fund, private equity or financial services industry
• Have a deep understanding of various investment product types preferably including real estate and real estate related debt (securitized product)
• Have superior analytical abilities
• Have a high level of general business acumen with the ability to manage multiple activities, think strategically and execute
• Be an articulate communicator, both orally and in writing
• Have the ability to relate effectively to people at all levels both inside and outside the firm
• Display the highest levels of integrity and ethics
• Work in a fast paced environment, able to be flexible
• Be able to prioritize

Required Qualifications:
A four year undergraduate degree from an accredited university. 6-10 years of related work experience. MBA and/or CPA desired but not required.
