Financial Analyst recruitment

The Corporate Planning team is looking to hire an analyst to work on financial planning and analysis in support of the Moody's Analytics business.

Responsibilities
- Work with team to manage and support all phases of the financial planning process
- Create monthly expense reports/PLs and provide variance analysis for management review
- Review monthly expenses to ensure that expenses are booked correctly and work with the accounting team to make any necessary reclasses
- Develop annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and 3-year strategic plans in conjunction with managers in Moody's Analytics and enter the numbers into the Hyperion system
- Help with headcount reporting and compensation analysis
- Work on ad-hoc projects/analyses
- Present manager with recommendations for resolving issues and improving processes

Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or other business disciplines
- Minimum 2-3 years solid work experience in finance/accounting, preferably in financial planning and experience
- Strong communication, analytical and data organization / interpretation skills
- Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and work with tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy is essential
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
- Superior skills with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Knowledge of Hyperion Planning, Essbase, and PeopleSoft Financial general ledger software
