Position Description:

hedge funds, private equity firms, fund administrators and

Job Overview:
The Asset Management segment of SunGard is looking to recruit a
Compensation Analyst to administer and manage the sales commission
and incentive compensation programmes as well as the related
reporting processes. This position will be part of the finance
department in London and will report to the segment Senior
Financial Analyst. The successful candidate will work directly with
members of the senior management, sales and finance teams in London
and across the world.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The majority of the time initially will involve carrying out
the final steps of a project to implement a new commission software
(Xactly Incent). The final steps include gathering prior month
commission data, testing the software, and implementing a process
to ensure commissions are accurately calculated on a monthly
basis. - Retrieve, review, and organise sales reports used to calculate
commission payments and accruals. - Retrieve, review, and organise various data used to calculate
incentive compensation payments and accruals. Also, communicate
monthly accruals to business unit controllers. - Verify commission calculations as output by the new system and
send payment information to payroll and business unit
controllers. - Verify and respond to sales employee's commission queries.
- Calculate and report other bonus amounts for sales
employees. - Analyse and report commission payments and quota
achievements. - Participate and support activities related to the development,
implementation, communication and administration of the sales
commission and incentive compensation plans. - Generate ad-hoc reporting as needed.
Position Requirements:
Primary Requirements:
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in accounting. Preference for
a Professional Accounting qualification such as ACCA or CIMA. - Proven experience in a finance role with preference for
candidates with sales compensation or sales reporting
experience. - Advanced level Excel skills with the ability to organise and
analyse a high volume of data. Experience with financial modeling
is a plus. - Problem solving and analytical skills are critical.
- Ability to multitask and coordinate the requirements and
priorities of the sales commission process, along with excellent
follow through skills. - Must be able to work independently and proactively with limited
supervision. - Detail-oriented with excellent organisational, communication
(oral and written) and interpersonal skills. - Knowledge of accounting and sales/commission reporting systems
(SUN Accounts, Vision Excel, SalesForce.com, Xactly Incent).
