The area: Finance, Financial Planning and Analysis
In addition to assisting business leaders throughout the company with all finance-related matters, the Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) organization is also consistently looked upon to provide analytical perspectives to important strategic decisions. Our mandate is to design, implement and manage the processes that support business needs. This includes developing financial forecasts and analyses, generating internal management reports, monitoring key performance indicators and driving the scaling and automation of financial processes. We also provide decision support and conduct financial reviews of a wide range of business issues from deal analysis to data center rollouts.
The role: Financial Analyst, Small Business Services
In this role, you will support the Small Business Services Sales Finance and Analytics team. This team's charter is to provide decision support and analytics to the Vice-President of Online Sales and key executive team. As a member of this team, you will be involved in cross-functional projects partnering with regional and central finance teams, business operations and strategy teams. You will have strong data analytical skills and be comfortable analyzing large sets of data. You should have experience in statistical software and be well versed in excel modeling and SQL. You should be able to perform deep dives into the underlying assumptions and quantitative details of all analyses, as well as make recommendations for the most efficient way to complete an analysis, given the stated objectives of the task.
Responsibilities:
- Execute sophisticated quantitative analyses and advanced modeling that translates data into actionable insights.
- Build and run performance and revenue reporting tools for internal customers.
- Develop financial and data models and tools that provide a platform for decision making on a variety of business issues.
- Provide analytical and decision-making support for key company initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between the core Finance teams and the Sales Operations teams, assisting with a range of operating issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent preferred in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Mathematics, Finance or related quantitative field.
- Strong experience writing SQL queries and pulling data from relational databases a plus.
- Experience in statistical software (R, S-Plus, SAS, or similar) a plus.
- Strong excel skills with experience creating financial dash-boards or models a plus
- Team player that is creative and detailed oriented.
