Overview
Sourcing and Vendor Management's (SVM) 3 main objectives are: to ensure BlackRock gets the best value from the annual spend through its vendors, to engage and actively manage its external vendors in a consistent manner and to ensure it manages the risks associated with buying certain services. The sourcing teams are organized by category of spend (includes Marketing, Print, Travel, IT (Hardware and Software), Facilities and Professional Services). The Sourcing team has the need for a highly analytical Financial Analyst in Singapore.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as a secondary regional liaison for SVM related matters within APAC.
- Responsible for supporting SVM activities and sourcing across multiple spend categories
- Support in developing and implementing key sourcing strategies to deliver value and savings for the firm
- Ability to support multiple projects concurrently, including the ability to generate appropriate management level reporting and tracking
- Support the full strategic sourcing cycle, including vendor identification and selection, price negotiation, and contract "red-lining" (editing) for corporate and business services
- Support supplier evaluation processes, including score-carding, tiering, risk management and performance improvement for vendors
- Support with delivering continuous improvements in the quality, cost, delivery and support of services.
- Resolving issues relating to supplier performance or deviations from original work estimates.
- Maintain working relationship with the wider SVM team and partnering functions located in other regions (ie: United States, UK and India).
- Be a valued member of the SVM team and support with SVM APAC operations.
Skills
Qualifications:
- Superior analytical skills - as evidenced by a strong track record of successful analytical decision-making. Successful candidates can provide examples that demonstrate superior quantitative and analytical capabilities, and the ability to translate analysis into tactics and results.
- Strong communication skills - as evidenced by examples that demonstrate an ability to influence others through oral and written presentation. Successful candidates are able to persuade, motivate and compel support for key ideas and initiatives by delivering clear, well-structured presentations.
- 1 to 3+ years of analytical, Sourcing/Procurement experience
- Procurement experience with MSAs, SOWs and SLAs across Marketing, Print, Travel, IT (Hardware and Software), Facilities and Professional Services categories of spend
- Ability to manage issues through to resolution, negotiating compromises for overall business benefit when required.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients and vendors
