The Position
The Sungevity finance team is responsible for developing and sourcing the capital needed for the company’s exceptional residential lease product. The team also manages the company’s financial planning and analysis function. Sungevity has created a new position with the team for a Financial Analyst to support the design of the financial infrastructure for our solar leasing business and to participate in the FPA.
If you have a proven track record of working with high-performance cross-functional teams; are passionate about renewable energy; interested in driving market share leadership at the most cutting-edge solar company in California; experienced in clean technology or real estate finance; and have the ability to communicate strategies to senior management, we would love to speak with you.
Responsibilities
- Develop financial structures that maximize the value of tax and other incentives programs for multiple project participants
- Build project finance and development models for a diverse range of distributed solar assets throughout the US and abroad
- Help to source investment capital and design transactions to deploy capital in residential solar projects
- Work with our legal team to negotiate and successfully close multiple funds
- Monitor and track performance of each fund
- Maintain and improve corporate finance models to project financial results for Sungevity
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, or another quantitative field from a top-tier university with a minimum 3.0 GPA
- 2+ years finance experience required
- Advanced financial modeling in Excel with the ability to display data in PowerPoint or other formats
- Ability to convey data in both written and spoken form to management in order to help inform their decisions
- Completion of an investment bank training program a plus.
- Statistics software proficiency preferred
- Knowledge of VBA, Python or other scripting languages a plus.
