Financial Analyst-SW Support recruitment

Responsibilities
We are currently in immediate need of a highly organized, detail-oriented and hardworking individual who has exceptional communication skills to work as part of the Financial Planning and Analysis group, supporting various MA Business Units.

Main responsibilities for the position include assuming either a lead or contributory role in:

- Facilitate Revenue recognition: the candidate will work closely with 3 main groups, Project Managers, Finance and Sales, to ensure all parties understand what is needed to obtain revenue acceptance for each deal. (50%)

- Work with Planning team to provide detailed inputs for Forecast, Budget and Strategic Plan, monthly, quarterly and annual cycles.

- Monthly revenue and rebillable expense analysis with keen focus on risk and opportunity assessment

- Sales Support: work closely with the sales team to monitor pipelines, ensure accuracy of forecast and help record sales transactions. Monitor project progress, and work with the billing department to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.

- Create reporting and analysis from project, resource and expense management tool (Change Point) for project progress, time and expense management.

- Provide Training/Support to new professional services staff on optimizing use of Change Point

- Support information needs of operating managers and other constituents within Moody's Corporation. Provide various reports to operating management for review.

- Ad-hoc analysis / projects as business needs arise

- A Bachelors degree with major in finance or business

- Excel and PowerPoint expertise a must

- Minimum 3-5 years solid work experience in accounting, finance or audit function

- Strong communication, analytical and data organization / interpretation skills

- Excellent ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and work with tight deadlines

- Desire to succeed both independently and as a member of a team in an unstructured and innovative environment
