The role calls for a hard working, motivated accountant who has a background within banking and controls, prior experiance in audit will be favoured. Due to the large volume of data it is essential for a successful applicant to have strong system skills specifically attaining to extensive Microsoft Excel use.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Supporting the month end close including journal preparation in line with UK/US GAAP
- Completing a number of annual statutory accounts for Companies house.
- Supporting FSA return production
- Monthly controls and balance sheet attestation, expense commentary and review
