Financial Control Assistant
My client is a Central London based International Bank who urgently require an assistant within Regulatory and Management Accounting. This is a 3 month contract initially, which is likely to be extended beyond this time, paying £20-25 per hour. You must have at least two years experience within an accounting function of a financial services organisation and also need to be immediately available.

You will be working in a team of 5 your responsibilities will include the preparation of both internal and external regulatory returns for the Bank and the preparation of the daily, weekly and monthly management reports and covering the accounts payable function.
Responsibilities include:
· Assist in the preparation of the daily regulatory monitoring reports.These reports are produced on Excel spreadsheets from data from FRS and lookups from Excel templates.
· Production of the daily Treasury profitability report. You will be required to produce this report in a timely manner for approval by the Treasury Desk.
· Assist in the production of the monthly Management Accounts. You will be required to assist in the overall production of the detailed information which is distributed to senior management in London.
· Assist in the preparation of the Regulatory reports. This includes monthly reports to the Bank of England and FCA/PRA and more regularly at quarter ends using the FRS system.
· Provide absence cover for accounts payable staff which would involve dealing with accounts payable entries, logging and paying invoices, processing journals and petty cash as required
· Undertake ad-hoc Administration tasks related to the finance department
· General ledger daily checks
· To be familiar with the Departments Operational Risk and Control functions
· To assist in the maintenance and review of procedure documentation for processes performed within the Finance function to ensure relevance and efficiency.
