The primary areas of responsibility for the role are as follows:
- Manage financial control development and integration projects to support merger related systems integration and EMEA branch and legal entity expansion plans
- Identify finance impacts arising from the EMEA New Initiatives committee and co-ordinate finance action plan to address in timely manner
- Management of daily, monthly quarterly financial control processes within the EMEA region
- In addition to these functions, employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required
Requirements
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
• Ideally Degree educated
• Qualified Accountant
• Experience within a financial services firm, ideally with both banking and investment firm experience
• Strong understanding of vanilla financial services products, related accounting flows, funding processes and FX exposure management
• Experience in implementing financial accounting and control processes across new business initiatives within an established infrastructure
• Good project management skills
• Ability to identify control weaknesses and put necessary procedures in place to rectify
• Intuitive; Fast leaner
• Self – motivated with the ability to work independently with a team structure
• Good problem solving skills
• Good time management organisational skills
• Strong excel skills would be an advantage
