Financial Control Manager, Leading International Bank recruitment
My client is a diversified Financial Services institution providing banking, insurance investments mortgage, consumer and commercial finance. Offices in the U.S. and overseas as well as strategic relationships with more than 3000 banks around the world.
They are currently seeking a high calibre candidate to manage the Financial Controls team for the London office.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop an increasingly valuable skill set including but not limited to risk and controllership technical skills and project management.
Responsibility:
- Developing financial control processes across a range of EMEA entities.
- Working with operations and business lines to address issue as they arise.
- Provide FX accounting expertise to support system migrations and the management of ongoing exposures.
- Support the assessment and implementation of additional financial controls in terms of new business initiatives.
- Supervision of financial control accountant.
Profile required:
- Degree educated
- Qualified accountant
- Experience within financial services
- Strong knowledge of vanilla financial service products, FX, funding processes and related accounting flows
- The ability to taking a hand on approach to understanding the systems infrastructure and resolving ad hoc issues.
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to identify control weaknesses and put necessary procedures in place to rectify.
