My client is a market leading financial services provider.
Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the finance function in achieving it's organisational objectives and to ensure that the reporting and legal requirements are met. Managing a small team this role will take accountability for:
- Manage the preparation and lodgment of statutory accounts and annual returns
- Ensures that normal accounting functions and requirements are effectively managed such as superannuation, salary packaging, accounts payable and receivable
- Ensure that appropriate records are maintained and that appropriate returns are lodged
- Responsible for ensuring that the accounting systems and applications all meet the requirements of the business
- Undertakes process analysis and recommends and implements appropriate changes to improve workflow.
- Works with management to identify funding requirements
- Develops strong working relationship with Treasury team to ensure that funds are available in a timely and cost effective manner
Monitors funding needs to ensure that funding requirements are effectively met.
Advises MD and Board on corporate governance requirements.
Carries out duties as company secretary and participates in Board meetings
Management Reporting and managing the budgetary cycle.
The Successful Applicant
We are looking for a CPA / CA qualified accountant with a strong technical background.

This role has broad visibility across the business so you will be used to dealing with senior finance and non-finance stakeholders. A commercial approach and the ability to influence the strategic direction of the business is essential
