Key Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include preparation and development of accurate and timely analysis/schedules for use by various departments covering a number of reporting areas - budgeting, forecasting, (monitoring and analysing), of Open-to-buy, Forward Buying and Inventory Positions
- Producing internal and external (US) reporting, analysis, budgeting and forecasting of Open-to-Buy, Forward Buying Status and Inventory positions on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis
- Identify , investigate the underlying cause for variances to the plans/ targets and communicate with various departments and divisions to obtain information and resolve any issues
- Drive development, productivity and accuracy within the financial reporting outputs.
- Communicate margin impact and changes to various departments. Ensure the completeness and accuracy of reported financial information.
- Develop early warning indicators/matrix to protect target/plan expectations
- Assist with special projects and prepare adhoc requests as daily business requires
- Work in conjunction with divisional Buying Teams/ Merchandise teams to forecast/ validate the committed position, OTB targets and markdown at pan-European level
- Manage the Planning process to ensure the accurate and timely preparing of the seasonal informations and target seetings
Key Skills, Knowledge Experience
- 3+ years of related experience in retail environment
- Expertise with computers incl. data management/methods including stock ledgers. Knowledge of inventory flow procedures/systems. Understanding a fast moving trade business
- Advanced Excel and systems skills are a necessity
- Prior analytical experience is a must.
- Must be able to work on own initiative, and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills are essential, including a good telephone manner
- A flexible problem-solver, willing to take ownership of issues as they arise
- The ability to escalate issues and assist in resolving them
- The ability to multitask, prioritize and work in a fast paced environment
