Our client is a leading global investment bank. Due to an internal restructure a vacancy has come up for a Financial Controller in Hong Kong.
Working closely and supporting the Asia CFO on all financial control matters for the group in Asia, the successful hire will supervise the business support team to perform control and accounting functions across all product lines. You will be required to ensure proper balance sheet controlling and capital monitoring is in place for the entities and work closely with other finance teams to ensure efficient running of the function. You will actively be involved in developing accounting policies and procedure for the group, review returns for regulated vehicles and tax computation. As key senior member of the Finance team in the region your responsibility will also include to lead business partners in developing forecasts and budget financials for new business/products and also lead and manage projects.
To be considered for this position you must be a University graduate and ideally CPA qualified with atleast 8+years of experience gained within financial institutions, preferably investment bank or brokerage. You must have strong financial products knowledge and experience in developing accounting policies and procedures. You must have experience in supervising staff and be able to deal with senior management and business partners confidently. Experience in projects as new business initiatives etc will be a distinctive advantage. Exposure to ERP systems as SAP desired. You must have good command of written and spoken English.
