Financial Controller
A small, family run financial services organisation seek to appoint a Financial Controller on a 3 day a week basis. They have a number of trust funds in place and a business that manages the wealth of a prestigious family.
The core responsibilities will be to manage the accounting function including statutory and taxation reporting for the 4 business units that sit within the family business, fulfilling the FSA control functions for the FSA registered investment arm, preparing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for the board, preparing and submitting corporation tax returns and VAT returns. The role also involves the bookkeeping, managing bank accounts, settling purchase invoices and calculating respective fees for the organisation.
The successful applicant will be a qualified accountant with relevant experience conducting the duties outlined above. They will be proactive in working with the company directors to improve process and implement a new billing system in 2013. They will have recent experience in using Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll and be an advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
