Job Summary
The role holder will have full ownership of the financial planning, analysis and control activities across the Company’s Asia Pacific entities. Reporting to the CFO, this role will lead and manage a globally based team to achieve all financial reporting and regulatory activities effectively and in accordance with best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the company financial reporting and tax compliance obligations are achieved in relation to all regulatory requirements within the different regions
- Oversee the external financial statement audits, including drafting full disclosure financial statements and footnotes
- Manage the overall accounting functions across Asia Pacific regional offices including billing, collections, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and financial control activities
- Supervise and manage a global team in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and key performance indicators for the executive team, board members, and investors
- Lead and manage the members of the Asia Pacific finance team to achieve individual and company objectives
- Monitor and improve existing internal process and controls with the aim to continuously improve the accounting and financial processes and the development of the team with the goal to achieve best practices and optimal output
- Oversee the cash management function, including reviewing regional cash flow requirementCompany Profile
Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant with at least 10 years total experience a portion of which includes managing a global finance team and/or the financial services industry
- Experience with multi-currencies and consolidations
- Excellent understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting processes
- Understanding of regulatory requirements in Hong Kong and Japan
- Result orientated, proactive professional with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication ability with fluent English skills
- Ability to live and work in Hong Kong
