Financial Controller -base in Taizhou Zhejiang recruitment

THE POSITION

The primary responsibility of the Financial Controller is to provide advice from finance and
controlling point of view to the management of the company. He/She should support the boards and owners with required analysis and information regarding the business. He/She will be responsible for company’s overall finance management and work closely with both USA , China and Australian top management to ensure justified and effective decision making.
 

Work Location: Taizhou, Zhejiang

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supporting General Management on all business and strategic decision-making.
• Evaluating company’s P L and Balance Sheet performance.
• Providing effective operational analysis and strategic recommendation for the company’s management.
• Managing accounting, finance and controlling departments.
• Supporting the Board with required analysis such as relevant income statement and balance sheet details and verification
• Supporting group reporting requirements including but not limited to the group's financial consolidation system under US GAAP and accrual accounting, the group's capital expenditure approval system and other as needed reports .
• Providing critical information and advice including reports, observations, problems and opportunities, product/cost centre reports, accurate forecasts, accurate reporting to local management and relevant authorities.
• Ensuring implementation of adequate internal controls
• Communication internally (reporting, issues. opportunities) and externally (statutory obligations, banking, tax, audit)
• Maintaining control and act as custodian of the company assets
• Managing inventory and evaluate that we only buy what we need, Minimize scrap, ensure proper valuation under a Standard costing system.
• Managing accounts receivable. Controlled invoicing, accurate prices, accurate aging, assess credit risks/limits
• Providing financial related recommendations regarding business operation, expenditures, cash flow etc.
• Preparing budgets, in depth financial analysis of various business scenarios (business case study)
• Identifying business trends and opportunities.
• Building up a strong finance team via effective coaching. Regular assessment and development communication with key team members.
• Initiating strategic proposals for business growth, cost expense control, productivity and profitability improvement. Providing leadership in budgeting and forecasting process.
• Taking necessary adjustment for polices and procedures to achieve rigorous implementation and an optimized control environment.
• Banking/Treasury and Credit Control. Good relationship and negotiation skills with Tax authorities. Keeping strict tax compliance and initiating effective taxation plans.
• Initiating and monitoring action plans to improve cash flow performance. Maximizing cash position based on proactively management and reducing both working and invested capital.
• Overseeing accounting processes including billing, payables, payroll and month-end closing, Ensuring accurate account reconciliations and analysis.

PERSON SPECIFICATION (Essential Personal Abilities/Aptitudes/Skills)
• Bachelor degree in Finance/Accounting/Commerce. ACCA/CPA/CMA or MBA is required.
• Chinese native speaker. Fluency in English is a must.
• Overseas work experience is a positive.
• + 10 years Accounting/Finance working experience.
• Experience in managing and operating an ERP system.
• Experience in dealing with multiple currencies
• Familiar with Chinese business culture. Proven coordination skills with management team.
• Work experience in a manufacturing environment is a must.
• Solid finance and accounting experience. Well-rounded technique skills in finance, accounting and taxation and Standard costing
• Strong interpersonal communication skill and competent leadership style.
• Strong analytical and research skills with good knowledge in manufacturing operations.
• Solid understanding of major factors, which will directly result in an organization’s profitability.
• Proactive attitude to work and coordinate cross functionally and drive operational excellence within the company.

• Computer liberated. Familiar with today's major ERP system.
