Financial Controller / Consultant
An opportunity has arisen with a fast growth, highly acquisitive company based in the city for an exceptional financial controller / finance manager. This role will focus on leading and developing a team of qualified and part qualified accountants in provision of both management and financial accounting and commercial finance support for the business. Initially this role will be offered on a 9 month contract with a view that this could transfer to a permanent position in the future.
This role will include overseeing the production and delivery of the management accounts for the business ensuring that that are management accounts packs are produced to a high standard and to deadline. On an annual basis the production of the statutory accounts (under IFRS) and on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis the production of budgets and forecasts. The finance team needs to be developed to improve the efficiency of the accounts production (reducing days required) and ensuring that they are appropriate for the operational senior management teams.
My client is looking for an experienced finance manager with a strong management accounting slant to their experience but also the technical skill to deliver the statutory accounts. Applicants must be extremely driven, focussing on developing the finance function to be the best in class, and also be robust characters, able to work closely with the operational business. Candidates should be qualified (ACA or ACCA ideally) with experience in industry.
