Financial Controller- Jakarta recruitment

In this role you will provide effective management of the day-to-day running of the accounts department including all aspects of staff supervision (recruitment, motivation, appraisal etc.) as well as prepare accurate monthly management accounts, quarterly updates and annual budgets to strict deadlines.  Besides maintaining the integrity of Indonesia financial ledgers and ensuring transactions are recorded in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices and company policies, you will ensure assets and liabilities of Indonesia companies are accurately recorded.  You will also assist the Group Finance Director in the development of management information systems and accounting procedures.

DUTIES: 

All duties are to be carried out in an accurate and timely manner, and in accordance with established company procedures.
1.Provide effective management of the accounts department including responsibility for department staff issues (i.e. recruitment, motivation, training and development, absence cover, appraisal and disciplinary);

2. Liaise and advise with senior management for each Indonesia division, including attending management meetings.

3. Ensure work of the department is completed, and all reports are issued in accordance with strict deadlines;

4. Ensure established accounting procedures are followed by operating departments;

5. Maintain the integrity of INDONESIA accounting ledgers, and ensure trading performance and assets and liabilities are accurately recorded, including control of key balance sheet reconciliations.

6. Provide JDE/Sun/Hyperion software support as key user.

7.Verify correct authorisation and coding of all prime documents prior to ledger entry and inform cost centre managers in respect of centralised charges (e.g. depreciation, lease charges etc..);

8. Control and collate corporate treasury and cash management function.

9. Monitor company credit control performance and implement corrective action to improve performance as necessary;

10. Liaise with Divisional and Operational Managers on all accounting issues; including lab, and inspection profitability measures.

11. Prepare monthly financial reports to management including, monthly rolling forecast and preparation of monthly Indonesia business lines flash report.

12. Prepare quarterly updates and annual budgets;

13. Irregular and ad hoc duties as required including but not limited to Indonesia Bonus payment reviews, VAT returns, claims settlement, capex reviews.

14. Propose revision and improvement of accounting procedures and reporting as necessary.

Requirements:
You should hold a professionally recognised accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA) and have prior experience of managing staff in an all round accounting environment.

You will be comfortable in using software such as JDE/SUN Accounting Systems as well as Lotus Notes/MS Office. Besides having the ability to produce reports and documents to a high level of literacy, you will be able to communicate with staff at all levels.You must have the ability to work under pressure, within strict time limits and be able to determine and organise priorities. Prior experience in an MNC, based in Jakarta is a must.
