Our client is the global leader in aerospace maintenance, repair and overhaul and currently employs over 2,450 people in facilities across the UK, Africa, Canada and the US. Recognised as being the market leader in their field, this prestigious and highly regarded organisation is looking to recruit a Finance Manager to support its UK finance operations at their Southern based facility.
The Role:
Reporting to the Finance Director we are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to provide financial and commercial guidance and foresight to the business and to assist the aerospace management team in establishing, maintaining and growing an effective and profitable operation.
Key responsibilities will be to:
· Take responsibility for the project accounting of large Service Provision contracts
· Review costs against budget and forecast to ensure that reasons for variances are understood.
· Support operational managers in preparation of forecasts and communicate with them to ensure that they are aware of the financial consequences of operational decisions
· Provide accurate and timely financial reports to all levels of management and to assist in production of annual budgets
· Identify measures to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the business
· Contribute to Group Business Improvement Initiatives
· Provide strong leadership to the Finance staff and build a cohesive team that proactively serves the business
The successful candidate will have experience of budgeting forecasting and preferably be qualified in CIMA or ACCA. Project Accounting experience is essential and you will have ideally have worked on large projects within a previous role. You will possess strong commercial awareness, good time management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
