Financial Controller – Private Banking recruitment

The Company

Our Client is a leading and prestigious bank with decades of trading history. Operating across multiple key markets in Asia-Pacific serving customers with a range of banking and financial products and services to business, corporate and institutional customers.

The Role

This is a critical role responsible for ensuring effective controls and processes are in place.

You will be responsible for all statutory, regulatory and Head Office reporting; audit matters and follow up; and all tax matters.

You will assist the management in ensuring the ledger is accurate, along with proper recordation of transactions. You will interact with various parties including Finance, Operations and Technology to ensure system wide reconciliations are complete and clean at ledger level.

Key liaison points will be to improve and optimise existing workflows and maintain up-to-date procedural documentation.

From a leadership perspective, you will motivate, develop and manage the performance of direct team to ensure quality output and team cohesion, increase in country finance capabilities and build collaborative relationships with colleagues to enable objectives to be achieved.

Your Profile

The successful candidate will have 10 years+ experience within a Banking environment specializing in Business Unit Financial Control. You will have prior experience working with a reputable public accounting company preferably in "Big 4" with financial services clients.
