Financial Controller – Singapore recruitment
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Managing Director and Heads of Department to formulate the business strategy
- Ensure the finance team is providing accurate, timely and informative output to the MD and Divisional Heads to execute the strategy and drive profitability
- Provide detailed analysis of performance to budget on a weekly and monthly basis
- Weekly/Monthly/Yearly Forecasting
- Prepare monthly management reports with analysis for
- MD, Regional MD and Regional FD
- Divisional Directors
- Head Office
- Maintain strict cash management principles in accordance with group guidelines
- Sign off event budgets
- Identify and implement ongoing process improvements and cost efficiencies throughout the organization
- Negotiate contracts for both staff remuneration and external contracts such as leases
- Ensure compliance with local tax payroll requirements. Sign off monthly payroll.
- Manage annual external audit
- Seek constant improvement in the finance process
- Conduct timely performance appraisals and manage the career path of each team member
- Maintain a skilled and motivated finance team
The Ideal Candidate
- We are looking for degree holders/CPA with a minimum 5-8 years post graduate experience. You should be an excellent communicator and will need to building relationships with C- level executives.
- You will need to have prior experience in working closely with non-financial departments such as sales and marketing and have a high level of business acumen and understanding of the factors influencing the economic environment.
- Candidates should demonstrate abilities in working closely with non-financial departments such as sales and marketing.
- You will need to be experience in company income tax and GST, as well as knowledge of local payroll and tax compliance.
- Candidates shall be a confident decision maker and strong negotiator.
- Entrepreneurial in spirit and thinking.
- Experience within a fast paced, young and growing business.
