Large Asset Management business seeks to attract a commercially minded financial controller with broad skills to support a central finance team during a busy period.

PURPOSE

Act as true business partner/financial advisor and senior financial controller to the business unit leadership team on financial issues (business, function and product)

Works with the Global Business Head of Market Products and CFO (Head of Treasury) to translate and incorporate business strategies into financial forecasts and annual financial plans

Provides meaningful financial reporting focused on key issues to enable business leaders to make sound business decisions

Working with Statutory and Regulatory Reporting Team, acts as guardian of books and records of Market Products and Treasury

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Acts a key member of the senior business team

• Provides meaningful and forward looking financial information for the purposes of facilitating business decisions

• Forecasts and analyses monthly segmented financial results into readily understandable reports/narratives

• Leads financial planning, provides insights and operational budgets for Market Products and Treasury

• Working with Management Reporting Team, coordinates consolidation of segmented results and provides variance analysis at segment level

• Develops and implements business unit performance metrics and analysis

• Provides financial analysis and reporting in support of strategic projects and new business initiatives

• Raises awareness about cost and revenue drivers and identifies opportunities for lasting savings

• Working with Statutory and Regulatory Reporting Team, explains accounting and regulatory issues to Global Business Head to the extent these issues impact commercial decisions

Ideally you will be an accountancy qualified, finance professional with relevant experience. Banking / Financial Services experience is essential. A broad mix of skills encompassing finance, treasury, products, accounting and budgeting would be highly preferable.
