Financial Controller/Regional CFO – Corporate Finance recruitment

My client is a multi-national whos' headquarters are based in India. There client base is focused within the financial services domain supporting Corporate Finance, with a variety of services from Global Research, to Financial Analytics, and outsourcing. The role has come about as a result of an increasing global presence, and London is the natural geographical location as a regional hub.

The incumbent needs to have 6-8 years PQE ideally within a Bluechip organisation and with international or global responsibility. ACA or ACCA is preferred but Management Accounting qualifications will be considered if your PQE is within Financial Controls for a financial services organisation and with demonstrable experience of oversight of PnL for multiple entities. An audit background would be beneficial but would need to be combined with Financial Control experience for a corporate client - a purely Audit background would not be considered.

The role requires the incumbent to ensure each of the regional entities have aligned there standard operating procedures to Head Office and streamlined activities accordingly. This includes preparation of financial statements, Filing of Corporate Tax returns, VAT Returns, Company House etc and working in turn with statutory auditors to ensure compliance with local laws and government bodies (London, Poland, Argentina, China, USA) The governance structures and policies are already in place and well established at head office - so the role is more about alignment, implementation and adherence to those controls rather than defining and setting them up from scratch.

There will be travel involved but would not be for significant periods at any one time.
