The Role

Bloomberg LP, the premier global financial technology firm, has an exciting opportunity for a corporate communications manager, based in London, with responsibilities for Europe, Middle East and Africa. This person will be a key member of the corporate communications team that develops proactive communications strategies and PR campaigns to promote the firm's wide range of financial technology products and services. These offerings include: data management and enterprise solutions, trading platforms and the Bloomberg Professional service (Bloomberg Terminal), the leading source of data, analytics, news and trading tools for more than 310,000 business and investment professional worldwide.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in corporate communications and media relations, preferably at an investment bank, asset management company, hedge fund, stock exchange or financial public relations agency. The best candidate would have familiarity with the Bloomberg Professional service, strong background in financial services communications and demonstrated experience in securing positive press in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Social media proficiency is a must.

The candidate should have a proven track record for creating and carrying out strategic communications plans and public relations campaigns that help build business, preparing senior executives for interviews and strong media relationships. This person should have experience in managing multiple proactive projects simultaneously, the ability to deal with media crises and directing a public relations agency's efforts. Also, the candidate should have strong research, writing, editing and client interaction skills, be a detailed-oriented and organized project manager, perform well under pressure and be a team player. Ability to speak European languages is a plus.

Requirements:

·Proven experience in corporate communications, public relations or related field, either in-house or at a PR agency.

·Background in financial services and technology and/or an ability to translate complicated information into easily understandable terms.

·Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.

·Self-motivated and detail-orientated, capable of managing multiple projects.

·Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, financial studies or technology is beneficial
