Financial Crime AML Audit Advisory
As one of the largest firm of professional advisors globally my client is currently looking to expand their Financial Crime team. The Financial Crime team has become one of the largest in the UK, with the breadth of skill and capability to meet the needs of clients, operating within the UK and internationally.
With the wider Financial Crime team now comprising over 400 dedicated staff, based in London, Belfast, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Leeds and Manchester, we are seeking to fill London based positions. The Financial Crime team provides anti-money laundering (AML), wider anti-financial crime (including fraud, market abuse and bribery corruption) and regulatory Compliance advice to financial institutions. It also leads Know Your Customer (KYC) remediation exercises and regulatory investigations for a large range of financial institutions and regulatory bodies. The Financial Crime team comprises accountants, trained investigators, lawyers, former regulators, former law enforcement agents and corporate intelligence experts. This wealth of knowledge and experience is brought to bear on all thier work.
To further expand our core Financial Crime team, we are looking to recruit a manager or senior associate to deliver projects for financial services sector clients. The role will focus on the prevention, detection and investigation of financial crime issues, including money laundering, fraud, market abuse, bribery corruption and other regulatory malpractice, and the remediation of related regulatory processes such as AML, Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), sanctions etc.
Ideally candidates will have substantial proven work experience and already be operating with some management responsibility. As a member of the Forensic Crime Financial Services team, they will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong team ethic.
Requirements
Suitable applicants will have all or most of the following attributes:
- Evidence of forensic skills and/or aptitude, logical, analytical, articulate, confident and professional;
- Team player skills, i.e. comfortable working with client staff and colleagues of all grades and backgrounds;
- A proven track record of providing exceptional service and establishing and maintaining strong relationships;
- Experience in the financial services industry
- Relevant professional qualifications, e.g. ACA.
The candidate will have strong technical knowledge and should also be:
- Calm under pressure and agile in approach;
- Willing to travel regularly to client sites, including if need those abroad;
- Able to speak with clarity and conviction in business presentations;
- Able to prepare concise and engaging written work, delivering messages with impact;
- A self starter, an ability to think on ones feet and deal with unexpected challenges is an advantage; and
- Motivated and driven to build a satisfying and rewarding career.
Additional attributes such as specific financial services sector experience and/or operating in a regulatory and compliance role would also be advantageous.
