Financial Crime Assistant Manager
This is a great opportunity for you to joining an expanding bank in a broad AML position reporting directly to the Head of Compliance. We are representing an expanding retail bank with branches in London, Manchester and Birmingham.
Your Responsibilities:
- To assist in the continuing enhancement of the Bank’s Financial Crime Operations
- To build and maintain close business relationships with key stakeholders
- Act as a focal point by providing specialist AML, ABC support and advice to the business
- To risk assess business activities, implement and embed appropriate business controls to ensure adherence to the Compliance and Financial Crime Policies including Anti-Money Laundering / Counter Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC)
- Support the Compliance Manager in the continual evaluation and implementation of relevant AML policies, procedures and processes taking a risk based approach
- To facilitate and/or perform appropriate monitoring, testing, reporting, analysis and investigation, in order to identify, report and remediate financial crime risks
- Constructively challenge existing processes where an alternative solution could improve quality or efficiency
- Provide support to the delivery of AML/ABC training and projects
- Review of reports / data to identify suspicious activity
- Liaise with law enforcement in particular in relation to court and production orders
- Assist the Compliance Manager in preparing reports to senior management
- Conduct monitoring reviews such as sanctions, high risk customers and PEPs in addition to the day to day monitoring of accounts
- To keep abreast with the regulatory change
Your Background:
Essential
- 2-4 years experience in a Financial Crime role with a focus on Strong technical knowledge of the UK financial crime regulatory environment including Money Laundering Regulations 2007, JMLSG and FATF
- Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Powerpoint
- Retail banking experience
- Financial Crime / AML professional qualification
- Good presentation skills
- Good stakeholder management skills
