Financial Crime Intelligence Operations, Senior Analyst recruitment
The Senior Analyst is engaged in supporting business and management in ensuring that the Bank operates in accordance with all legal and regulatory requirements and all Group standards of conduct on the prevention of money laundering, so as to protect and enhance the reputation of the Bank with its regulatory requirements and avoid significant financial loss.
Key Roles Responsibilities
• Establish and develop effective working relationships with the offshored transaction surveillance unit, Compliance representatives and other personnel of business units.
• Support Unit Head in developing controls and procedures relating to transaction monitoring and suspicious activity reporting. Support the operation of such controls and procedures and keep the procedural manual up to date.
• Undertake quality assurance role of transaction monitoring to identify suspicious activities and assist in preparation of SAR filing where necessary.
• Ensure significant issues identified are reported and escalated in a timely manner.
• Ensure regulatory requests relating to AML are promptly attended to.
• Assist Unit Head in implementing and maintaining the Transaction Monitoring system used by the unit.
• Assist management in furthering regulatory relationships.
• Maintain knowledge of national and international findings on money laundering and advise the offshored transaction surveillance unit on any necessary changes to procedures.
• Familiarize with the Bank’s businesses, products, procedures, organizational structure and internal money laundering requirements.
Qualifications Skills
• Professional with core compliance or business skills.
• Effective collaborative skills that contribute to positive working relationships with counterparts in Compliance and the business.
• Sound knowledge of applicable Laws and Regulations and the ability to interpret and apply them to actual situations.
• Detailed understanding of Group and local policies and standards.
• Good knowledge of banking products and support structure.
• Good judgment. An inquisitive approach to practices and procedures. Personal authority and integrity. Independence and resilience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
