Financial Crime Risk & Training Manager

Purpose of role

Work with the Head of Financial Crime Regulatory Change to build flexible global financial crime risk assessments for the division; drawing on both internal and external resources, to serve the Wealth divisions MLRO designates/designated officers’ community, the various businesses globally, the group function and their staff and senior management. Work with the wider Financial Crime community to develop and deliver Financial Crime training.

Core accountabilities

The Financial Crime Risk Training Manager will be required to coordinate and lead the risk management efforts globally across the division, working with a significant number of stakeholders from the Group, the Wealth division, Operational Risk, Compliance team, and the Money Laundering Reporting Officers.

The three separate assessment processes involve data mining across all Wealth systems to capture key client data related to each of the Wealth geographies and business units. This would (amongst others) include metrics on customer, product type and geographies.

Training

Lead the development of the financial crime training and communications activity. Designed to increase the competence and awareness of the financial crime and business communities on a range of general and specialist topics to include the Financial Crime/AML training and communications for Wealth. This will include targeted training for both Front Line and Operational staff to meet regulatory expectations.

Professional/technical experience

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of competent assessment skills utilising information from both internal bank sources and external sources. The right candidate will have the ability to be a self starter, independent thinker and be able to prioritise and manage demanding workloads. The right candidate will have first class technical skills in international AML, Sanctions and ABC regulation preferably within a wealth management business.
