The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), an agency of the Department of the Treasury based in Washington DC, has an ongoing mission to ensure the safety and soundness of the national banking system and we’re looking for key people to influence the process. The OCC charters, regulates and supervises the integrity of 1500 national banks with $6 trillion in assets. As a key contributor to the Data Analytical Solutions Division, you will manipulate complex, potentially large bank financial statements, retail or commercial credit, financial market, or international economics/finance information databases in support of the analytical work of the department and the examination of banks. You will analyze financial data on banking and the financial services industry to support the preparation of presentations of key departmental products. You will contribute to data management efforts and collaborate on the department’s development of innovative tools and methods that identify emerging risks for national banks.
To be successful in this position, you must have strong SAS skills and have used a variety of SAS products to develop and manage research databases in a multi-user environment. Additionally, you must have skills in conducting advanced data management and analysis methods of financial or credit data. Just as importantly you will be an innovative thinker and have the ability to work with cross-functional teams to develop and execute plans for multiple projects.
