The Company
They are the growing investment management arm of a major financial institution managing £15BN of assets, administering individual life and pension policies issued by a number of external managers. Currently they are designing and developing a best-in-class investment function business for the business and other acquisitions.

The Role
Reporting to the CIO you will organise and manage the firm's Financial Data in order to support the Asset Management Business. Your responsibilities will include the following:
* Management of Financial Data (Market, Position, Risk Data, Performance Data). This will include the capture and organization of a wide range of data, including bond yield and swap rates, credit spreads, Index data, position and risk data and asset class returns and performance data
* Database management - Creation, ownership and maintenance of a suitable database
* Creation and delivery of Flexible Reporting Tools for position and risk, to support head of Risk and Performance, and CIO, in understanding, managing and reporting bespoke risk and positions
* Portfolio Risk System support. You will provide support for an institutional Asset Management Portfolio Risk System; for example Blackrock's Green Package Aladdin, Barclays Point or UBS Delta

Who they are looking for
To be considered for this interesting role in a growing investment business, you must have
* A Higher class degree in a numerate/ IT discipline from a leading University and,
* 3years + experience in a leading investment bank or asset management firm with specialist systems knowledge and exposure to a broad range of markets and/or products
* Excellent experience in Excel, ideally Excel 2010 inc macros, SQL server data integration, Sharepoint Server 2007, 2010, Document management experience, Maintaining document libraries, Versioning, Tagging , Workflow, Excel services , Team site administration Permissions,
* Web part configuration, Microsoft SQL Server 2008, 2010. , Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services(SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), T-SQL skills to query data
