Financial Data Quality Control Analyst:
As an analyst with the Financial Data Quality Control team, you will be part of our Data Operations Group, with associates in San Francisco, USA and Shenzhen, China. This group is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timely delivery of vital financial data linked to our industry-leading credit risk measurement tools and related software applications.

Responsibilities:
- Identify, research, and resolve data errors/inaccuracies during our daily and monthly processing, calculations and deliveries of time-sensitive financial risk measures. Validate fundamental and financial market data received from data vendors.
- Work with IT, Support, Research and Software Development teams to resolve any data quality and/or client issues.
- Proactively suggest improvements on existing QC methodologies and implement QC systems for new financial risk management products.
- Assist in analyzing data usability from potential and current data providers.
- Regularly report data-related and technical issues to our data providers.
- Work schedule requires availability on some evenings and holidays.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
- Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in Operations Management/Engineering or a related field with exposure to finance, economics and/or information technology.
- Proficient in MS Excel, SQL (Sybase, Microsoft SQL server, Oracle) and MS Access. Exposure to Java, C++, Visual Basic or statistical tools is a big plus.
- Experience handling large data sets is a big plus.
- Detail-oriented and ability to immediately apply what is learned.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills.
- Experience documenting standard operating procedures preferred.
- Superb analytical skills and persistence in problem solving.
- Ability to multitask and work with tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with equity and fixed-income markets with the ability to read, navigate, and interpret financial statements/filings is desired.
