The role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Financial Inclusion Advisor to join our programme. You will be complementing the comprehensive package of financial inclusion support to our residents. The effects of the recession and Government reforms are putting pressure on families and young people. We are an innovative support service that helps to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. Money Plus is an innovative support service that helps to make a real difference to the lives of our residents.

Responsibilities

The post will have the primary responsibilities to serve our residents; support income staff; and support the strategic needs of the local authority. You will professionally manage a caseload and provide one to one debt advice to residents experiencing financial difficulties and will be required to deliver advice and financial capability sessions. Your attention to detail will assist with our recording, monitoring and evaluation, and you will prepare and deliver money management workshops, ensuring you maintain an understanding and awareness of current economic factors, legislative changes and best practice relevant to financial inclusion.

You will possess the required debt advice competencies and possess the practical ability to support clients and resolve a portfolio of debt and welfare benefits advice casework and the ability to develop fuel poverty income maximisation.

You will be required to work the occasional evening and weekend. There may be occasional travel within the borough for community events and team meetings.
