Financial Institutions Credit Risk Analyst – Insurance recruitment
This team is part of the FIs team within Wholesale Credit Risk. Besides the credit risk assessment there are additional responsibilities relating to monitoring of limits, utilisations, watch list names, and line management responsibility.
The Candidate:
- Strong background analysing non banking financial institutions particularly insurance companies.
- Experience in financial markets and wholesale credit for FI's, providing an in-depth knowledge of capital markets and treasury products including repo's, stock borrowing/lending, equity financing and equity derivative products.
- Ability to undertake financial analysis, write credit reports and articulate to management on key credit issues relating to both counterparty and product risks.
- Familiarity with financial statements and accounting terminology
The Role:
- Lead a small team focusing on insurance companies in the UK and Ireland.
- Ongoing credit monitoring and completion of annual reviews and internal ratings.
- Updating internal credit risk databases and the global credit risk management limit to ensure that data integrity of assets is accurately maintained.
- Meeting with counterparties, external agency lenders, rating agencies, etc as part of due diligence on transactions
