Financial Journalist
Are you a talented financial journalist / investment writer with a background in online publishing? This could be the role for you!
My client is looking for an Intranet Editor to come in for an initial 6 month contract.
Role overview:
Sitting within the bank's Communications and Corporate and Social Responsibility division, the Group Internal Communications team write for the bank's main internal communications channels.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the editorial process and quality of the global intranet is maintained to the highest standard
- Providing concise, on-the-spot stories covering high-level events, such as town hall meetings, presentations, speeches, along with general articles on all aspects of the bank and the markets in which it operates
Core competencies:
- Excellent financial journalistic skills, gained through qualifications and significant practical experience, including an ability to write for different audiences
- An understanding of the production process involved in online publishing and the differences between on- and off-line reporting
- Excellent proof-reading and editing skills
- Knowledge of online publishing and experience of intranet content management systems, such as RedDot
- Strong project management skills
- Outstanding communication and listening skills
- Able to handle the fast-paced environment of a global financial institution
- Strong work ethic
- Confident in dealing with people at all levels of the business
- Assertive, proactive and innovative
- Degree educated (or overseas equivalent)
