Hatteras Funds in Raleigh, North Carolina is seeking a dynamic, financial marketing professional to research, write, review and produce content for Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Information (RFI) responses related to the firm's alternative investment management products including mutual funds, limited partnerships, and venture capital funds. The successful candidate will also develop written content for marketing materials, whitepapers, newsletters, client communications and websites in support of the Hatteras Funds brand.

Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively develop and manage all areas of the RFP/RFI and due diligence questionnaire request process for the firm, working closely with Compliance, Portfolio Management, and Marketing teams to ensure detailed accuracy and quality of written content. Manage and efficiently maintain organizational databases as a part of the sales and national account relationship RFP/RFI and due diligence process.
- Project manager for all aspects of the preparation, tracking, distribution and approval of RFP/RFI and due diligence projects and deadlines ensuring impeccable attention to detail within both written and oral communication venue requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and demonstrate a strong understanding of the firm's product strategies to write monthly commentaries in collaboration with Portfolio Management and Marketing teams.
- Create written marketing materials to include utilization of themes from monthly commentaries or topics of interest to create thought-leadership articles, communication tools and white papers.
- Serve as primary proofreader for the firm in reviewing key marketing materials to support consistent Hatteras Funds brand messaging.
- Establish and cultivate significant client relationships through accountability, reliability, and foresight while working within all aspects of the firm's marketing communication projects.
- Strengthen industry knowledge through continuous learning to provide consultative services for internal and external business partners.
Critical Skills Attributes:
- Bachelor's degree required; Journalism/English, Marketing or Finance related major is preferred.
- 3-5 years prior professional experience within financial and investment services; alternative investment experience is a plus.
- Ability to deliver value-added services with unprecedented quality and unmatched responsiveness.
- Solid and demonstrable skills in writing, editing and publishing of marketing materials, RFP/RFI responses, newsletters whitepapers, and client communication materials within both external and internal venues.
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines with impeccable attention to detail; ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively within all levels of the organization.
- Strong project management skills and ability to think critically when working with multiple and competing priorities to meet key deadlines.
- Technical ability with an in-depth understanding of systems including: Microsoft Office Suite applications, as well as PerTrac, and PMAPS or related RFP Writer software
- Independent thinker with an aptitude for collaboration. Ability to work well both independently and as a team member.
