Financial Planner (Retirement Strategies)
The Position:
To provide high quality financial planning and ongoing client service to Retirement Strategies existing clients and to generate new clients for the practice. To assist the practice to increase its new business revenue through new and existing clients. To ensure new client appointments and annual ongoing services meetings are conducted according to our service offer, thereby contributing to the ongoing client relationship and maximise client retention and referrals. This role requires a 'self-motivated' person who is client focused, hungry for new business and has excellent organisational skills.
Key Duties:
- Manage the existing database to create opportunities for stronger relationships between Retirement Strategies and out existing clients
- Undertake new business implementation activity according to the practice's new business workflow policy
- Assist with general client enquiries in line with the practice's service offering and compliance guidelines
- Ensure fulfilment of ongoing service meetings when due to according to the practice's client service policy, ensuring timelines and quality of ongoing service meetings
- Maintain integrity and confidentiality of all client information
- Contribute towards the maintenance of client relationships in line with the practice's service process to ensure maximum client retention is achieved
- Build and establish relationships by taking time to talk to clients, showing genuine interest and using questioning technique to determine their needs
To be successful in this role you will require:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Completed Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) - DFP 1-4 or SIA/FUNSIA equivalent
- Highly organised ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks
- Effective in multitasking
- Proactive and able to problem-solve
- Attention to detail
- Friendly and professional whilst maintaining confidentiality
Desirable however not essential
- Working towards CFP status
- Ideally having completed ADFS (DFP 5-8 or SIA/FUNSIA equivalent) or working towards completion
- Tertiary qualifications - Business Degree or related discipline
- Strong understanding of Industry products and services
- Strong understanding of financial services industry
