Financial Planning & Analysis Manager recruitment
Our client, a leading local Insurance business with a global reach, is looking to recruit a Financial Planning Analysis Manager, with strong commercial acumen to manage a team responsible for planning/forecasting for one of their most profitable business lines.
Responsibilities include:
- Organizing and Managing a team responsible for the timely and accurate Annual Planning, Forecasting Analysis processes
- Manage Planning Analysis Processes and Controls. Ensure a consistent, quality of analysis and plan report to Management. Lead and be subject matter expert on latest plan approaches that could be applicable.
- Managing financial analysis staff; monitoring, reviewing and reporting on the quality and timeliness of completion of tasks and assigned projects.
- Proposing and recommending improvements to the monthly and annual planning forecasting processes.
- Proposing and implementing improvements to the analytical processes and financial reports delivered to Senior Management
- Organizing meetings with Divisional Management (or their delegates) to review, challenge and ensure appropriate and timely plan inputs, assumptions and potential errors in the planning and forecasting processes
- Managing and performing work on ad-hoc tasks as necessary
- Develop and maintain current and appropriate financial models that are appropriate and useful to the business
- Maintaining a current and approved set of Planning Forecasting procedures as necessary
- Managing the information request and delivery processes to Senior Management the Business.
Required skills and experience;
- Detailed and current knowledge of Planning and Forecasting Best Practices.
- Running all aspects of planning, analysis and forecasting.
- Exceptional communication, writing, review and detailed analysis skills are required.
- Management Supervisory experience.
- Proven ability to lead, manage and participate in multi-disciplinary teams.
- At least 5 years working in General Insurance/Life/Funds Management.
- Ideally have in depth experience in modelling Cognos/TM1 or similar products
- CA/CPA/MBA Qualification
- Strong Academics.
