Financial Planning Analyst recruitment
A fantastic opportunity for a qualified Financial Planning Analyst to join a global prestigious Financial Services organisation. With hundreds of firms as members, and thousands of companies trading with them every day. The Finance department incorporates a number of different functions, including; financial reporting, business finance, investor relations, tax and treasury.
This role reports into the Financial Reporting Manager, specifically focusing on coordinating the groups planning activities. This will provide the candidate with a unique opportunity to develop in a continually developing and exciting environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordination of the Group's planning activities
- Managing the planning timetable;
- Reviewing and analysing the annual plan in comparison to market conditions
- Effective communication with the Group's Finance function and with the business;
- Effective coordination of inputs into the planning process and coordination of system requirements;
- Financial Accountant role including preparation of statutory accounts, management accounts, financial board papers and the provision of high quality proactive and responsive financial support.
- Preparation of accounting journals and review of monthly accounts
- Assistance with financial aspects of regulatory reporting (including the submission of financial regulatory returns
- Work closely with other members of the Financial Reporting Group to ensure the sharing of best practice and facilitate efficiencies through cross working
- Lead or provide assistance on ad-hoc finance projects, and support the wider Finance function as necessary
- Maintain excellent working relationship with the department and business at all levels.
Candidate requirements:
- Degree educated with a minimum of 2:1 achieved
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA) or would look at someone who is taking their final exams.
- Experience of coordinating planning activities in a relevant commercial environment
- Sound knowledge of financial reporting and framework (IFRS)
- Confident in the use of accounting software - Microsoft Dynamics GP, TM1 is desirable not essential.
