Financial Planning Analyst/Manager Job in Antwerp, Antwerp Belgium

For one of our clients in the larger Antwerp area, we are looking for a Financial Planning Analyst/Manager.

Responsibilities:

- Defining, gathering aligning and challenging the functional input of key performance indicators and translating these into targeted performance;
- Track actual performance against budgets and forecasts using Key Performance Indicators and other techniques measures highlighting variances which need to be addressed and escalated to senior management;
- Proactively pursue opportunities to improve cash flow and EBITA;
- Perform various Year-On-Year comparisons in order to verify progress of margin productivity improvement;
- Lead consolidating process of financial and operational results from our business segments and regional headquarter throughout Europe including financial and operational KPIs, including data verification;
- Provide timely and concise variance explanations for European management team and US-based Corporate Headquarters;
- Create presentation for management and board;
- Coordinate and monitor the 5-year operational/strategic business plan for the plants;
- Generate a detailed financial bottom-line and a matching high-level KPI overview including productivities;
- Assess capital and other expenditure in order to maintain financial profitability and present detailed variance analysis;
- Lead and contribute to projects driving change and improving processes, achieving transparency on local and consolidated levels;
- Maintain and monitor the evolution, definitions and owner of key indicators;
- Ensure in reporting packages that contributed content is accurate and stands up to scrutiny;
- Partner with relevant internal customers to manage a constant stream of advice, evaluation, analysis and direction regarding in/outflow of operational indicators and financial results;
- Contribute to management and group monthly performance.

- Proven competence in identifying trends and using information to have a positive impact on the business;
- Able to develop effective working relationships with internal customers as well as ability to work alone;
- Strong sense of urgency and able to perform well under pressure;
- Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment;
- Possess sound analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, self-confidence, maturity and Project Management responsibilities;
- Fluent in English and Dutch (knowledge of German is an asset);
- Very good Excel skills/data manipulation capability - Advanced user of PowerPoint - knowledge of SAP and Hyperion is desirable.
