Financial / Project Accountant
We are currently recruiting into the newly created role of Financial / Project Accountant for this well-established and unique organisation based in the Glasgow area. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for providing technical accounting advice and professional support including finance technical training for both finance and non-finance staff, whilst also directly contributing to the success of the wider change management programme designed at improving finance ways of working and increasing the overall financial capability within the organisation
Working within a multi-disciplinary team, the successful candidate will be involved in various projects including the development of enhanced finance systems and management reporting, change and process improvement, the communication and sharing of best practice and providing ad-hoc technical advice/support as required.
You will be a qualified accountant with a proven track record in technical accounting coupled with previous involvement in project work linked to financial processes or procedures, systems implementations or change management. Being innovative and creative in developing solutions, you will have excellent communication and influencing skills and an ability to develop and maintaining strong working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
This role which will certainly provide you with variety, will also present you with opportunity to develop your financial experience within a diverse organisation, gaining exposure to project work and ultimately ensuring that the overall finance function supports it’s key stakeholders and allows informed decision making to occur.
